Though new to the agronomy industry where he’s involved in sales, Adam grew up on a farm in Illinois and always wanted to be involved in the ag industry. “I’ve always enjoyed it and had a passion for it. It’s a challenging but rewarding career and field to be in,” he said.
Adam attended Black Hawk East Campus in central Illinois studying animal science with a minor in soils and crops. He has lived in southern Minnesota for a time and previously worked at a cattle feedlot.
Adam appreciates the sense of accomplishment associated with crop production, seeing a new crop of corn or calves being raised each year. “I enjoy being able to get out and visit with farmers, working to find answers to their agronomy problems and questions,” he commented. “I like not being stuck behind a desk all day.” Adam also sees great promise for Farmers Coop Association’s new agronomy department in the area.
In his spare time, Adam raises show cattle on his acreage near Winnebago. He’s also a member of the local volunteer fire department.
